At Promised Land Brewery, we’re more than just a place to grab a pint—we’re a homegrown hub for craft, community, and creativity. Founded in 2018 in the heart of Downtown Gilroy, we’re a small family-owned brewery with a simple promise: to brew great beer for great people.

Our roots run deep in the South Bay, and every pour reflects our passion for quality, flavor, and innovation. From hop-forward IPAs and crisp lagers to tart sours, smooth stouts, and seasonal specialties, each beer is crafted with intention and care. With over 200 unique beers under our belt and a 4.1 rating on Untappd, we’re proud of the work we do—but even prouder of the community that supports us.

A Brewery Built by Community

When the world shut down during COVID-19, our community kept us alive. With taproom doors closed, we hit the road, personally delivering beer to our local supporters, who made sure the Promised Land spirit lived on. That support carried us through and made us who we are today.

Award-Winning & Festival Favorite

Our beers have earned recognition far beyond our taproom. In 2025, our Sláinte Irish Red Ale medaled at the Brewer’s Cup of California, officially making us an award-winning brewery. We also had the honor of brewing the official Garlic IPA for the world-famous Gilroy Garlic Festival—a bold, citrusy West Coast IPA with subtle garlic notes that sold out in just hours.

More Than Just Beer

Promised Land isn’t just about brewing—it’s about bringing people together. From food trucks and local gatherings to weekly trivia nights every Friday at 7 PM, monthly comedy shows with raffles and beer specials, and the Big Ring Riders cycling group that rides out from the brewery every first Thursday, there’s always something happening here.  We’re a dog and family-friendly, locally owned brewery that believes in connection, laughter, and community.

As the oldest active brewery in Downtown Gilroy, we’re proud to play a role in the city’s growth. With new restaurants, breweries, and even the Gilroy Bowling Alley opening nearby, downtown is on the rise—and we’re doing our part to keep it thriving. We believe Gilroy’s future is bright, and we’re proud to raise a glass to our little town on the rise.
